How do i change my registered e-mail account?
You can request your password, change your existing password or change your registered email address either by clicking on the (1)"I forgot my password" link underneath username and password login fields. (2) Clicking on the subscribe button to access your membership information when you are logged on or (3) changing it under your profile. If you have forgotten your password only option 1 will apply to you.

What is an Avatar?
An Avatar is an image which you can use to identify yourself. This is generally unique or personal to each user. See "How do i upload a photo".

What is the maximum size of an Avatar
You can either upload your photo or avatar. The maximum size is 1MB and the dimension in pixels is 300 by 300.

How do i upload a picture?
It is not recommended that you upload a personal picture though the right and capability lies strictly with you. This service by default is setup to be anonymous until you choose to reveal your identity. Instead of a personal picture you can upload an Avatar.

How do i report an inappropriate Post?
If you see a post that contains abusive or other comments you find offensive and/or contravenes our terms and conditions and privacy policy please report such post to YouGotLoveMail.com. You can do this by clicking on the exclaimation mark on the far right of the post. A message of successful completion will appear when completed. A post will have a red X to indicate it has been reported.

How do i watch a Topic?
You can watch a topic by clicking on the "watch this topic for replies" link that appears at the bottom left hand side of all posts.

How can i ignore a User?
You can ignore a user by ignoring their posts. By clicking on the ignore icon at the bottom of any posts they have made. When you place a user on ignore this prevents you from seeing any posts they make and prevents them from sending you private messages.

How do i add or remove a BookMark?
To add a bookmark find the topic you want to bookmark and click on bookmark topic that appears at the top left hand side of post.

To remove a bookmark you can simply click on remove bookmark on the top left of each post or click on the bookmark link at the top of the page. you can then select the bookmarks you wish to delete.

How long do you keep Posts?
Currently we keep posts indefinitely. And this refers to both answered and unanswered posts. However, this may change in the future. If we reduce how long we keep post for any reason you will be informed.

How do i maintain my privacy when posting?
YouGotLoveMail.com values your privacy. You are anonymous by default. To maintain anonymity do not include personal contact information in posts. Should you wish to reveal your identity you can via private messenging.

include a link which will take them to the message you want them to view.

What is BBCode?
BBCode is a special implementation of HTML. You can also disable it on a per post basis from the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML: tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed.

Locked topics are set this way by the YouGotLoveMail.com management. You cannot reply to locked topics. A topic is locked if a member posted in the wrong forum.

Private Messaging
I keep getting unwanted private messages!
If you are getting unwanted Private Messages from a user you can ignore the user. To do this go to the forum and click on the ignore button against any post posted by the user. This will prevent you from seeing any posts they make and will prevent them from sending you private messages.

I have received an offensive private message
You can report the user to YouGotLoveMail.com. Please contact us on the homepage. Alternatively, you can ignore the user by clicking on the ignore icon in the forum against any of their posts.

How do I setup private message alert
A private message alert sends a message to your private e-mail account alerting you of a private message waiting for you in your YouGotLoveMail.com inbox. To receive alerts click on your profile and scroll down to preferences and change the "Notify on new private message" from NO to YES.

Subscription
What is the difference between Subscription and Registration?
When you register you become a member of YouGotLoveMail.com. When you subscribe you are subscribing to additional paid or free services that we offer. These products and services are only available when you are registered as a member.

How can i subscribe to additional services?
Click on the subscribe link at the top left hand side of the page when logged into your account. You will see the products you are currently subscribed to, plus additional services you can subscribe to if any.

Why am i prompted to re-enter my username and password?
You may or may not be prompted to re-enter your credentials when you click on the subscribe link. This is down to your local cache. if you are prompted please do so to gain access.

Opt-in/out of receiving offers, products and Services via email
Click on subscribe on the top left hand link in the forum. To subscribe to products,offers and services place a tick in the relevant boxes and click on "Update subscriptions". To opt-out remove the ticks and click on update subscriptions. Placing a tick in "Unsubscribe from all e-mail messages" will unsubscribe you from receiving service e-mails from us. We recommend "do not unsubscribe" from service e-mails.

Chat Room
How do i create a Private/Public Room?
To create a private/public room, click on add and then follow the prompts to choose a room name and a password. By password protecting the room, only the members you give the password to can access the room.

I can't find the room i created
Rooms created by members are automatically removed 10mins after the last person leaves the room. Re-create the room if you want access to it again.

Attachments
I've got the necessary permissions, why can't I add attachments?
We have set an upper limit for filesize and file extensions for attachments on the site. You should get an explanation in the error message when trying to add an attachment.
